Centre for Healing
Amaryllis Centre for Healing is home to alternative therapies that help to improve your overall health and well being and located on Giddy Up Acres. It is a sanctuary and hub for energetic healing, education and natural medicine. This is where Martha runs her private healing practice.
We offer the following services onsite;
BodyTalk, Craniosacral Therapy, Electro-Acupuncture, Homeopathy & Computer Regulated Thermometry
BodyTalk is an astonishingly simple and effective form of therapy that allows the body’s energy systems to be re-synchronized so they can operate as nature intended. Each system, cell and atom are in constant communication with each other at all times. Through exposure to the stresses of day-to-day life, however, these lines of communication can become compromised, which then leads to a decline in physical, emotional and/or mental well-being. Reconnecting these lines of communication enables the body’s mechanisms to function at optimal levels, thus preventing disease and rapidly accelerating the healing process. In this way, BodyTalk stimulates the body’s innate ability to balance and heal itself. BodyTalk can be used as a standalone system to treat many health problems or can be seamlessly integrated into any healthcare system to increase its effectiveness.
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system – comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.
Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system.
By complementing the body’s natural healing processes, CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction.
Electro-Acupuncture was developed by German MD Voll electrodermal screening is a screening of the meridian system of the body that looks for areas of energetic imbalance. It allows the practitioner to find what will balance the energetic imbalances within the meridian system. It is also very useful for finding sensitivities and allergies that would cause energetic stress as well. Electrodermal Screening is a useful meridian monitoring tool that allows the practitioner to track a client’s progress over time. It also allows an energetic assessment of hydration and mineralization as well as how the energetic properties of the cell membrane are functioning to promote proper nutrition and elimination at the cellular level. It allows the practitioner to identify specific imbalancing energetic signals within the energetic systems of the body and at what level they need to be addressed.
Homeopathy is a system of natural health care that treats each person as a unique individual with the aim of stimulating their own healing ability. All the systems of the body are looked at and treated as a whole instead of treating just the symptoms.
Homeopathy, or homeopathic medicine, is a medical philosophy and practice based on the idea that the body has the ability to heal itself. Homeopathy was founded in the late 1700s in Germany and has been widely practiced throughout Europe. Homeopathic medicine views symptoms of illness as normal responses of the body as it attempts to regain health.
A homeopath selects the most appropriate medicine based on the individual’s specific symptoms and personal level of health.
Whole Body Regulation Thermometry is an exact science, originating in Europe, that has been developed over several decades. This technology works by taking precise measurements of the body’s Autonomic Nervous System, taken from 120 points on the surface of the skin, and reflecting the relative health or dis-ease of internal organs, glands and lymph. The information (patient data set) is then fed into an advanced computer database that interprets the data to instantly deliver an accurate whole body report in plain language and graphic images.
This is NOT image-camera thermography. Regulation thermography is a completely different science. The computer database was developed over a span of nearly 20 years with contributions from over 100 doctors worldwide who performed tests on more than 100,000 patients and corroborated the patient data with MRI, CT-Scan, mammography and other conventional diagnostic tools.
WHOLE-BODY THERMOMETRY (WBT) DOES NOT REPLACE MAMMOGRAPHY.
WBT is an adjunct patient assessment tool designed to help identify underlying causes very early in the disease process. It is normally used as a completely safe and non-invasive breast health screening tool.
Comparing WBT with mammography is like comparing apples with oranges. Mammography is focused on the breast anatomy alone. WBT looks at the physiology of the whole body. Taking into account the many factors that influence breast health, WBT analyzes the functioning health of the breasts in context of the whole body.
WBT does not diagnose breast cancer, and neither does mammography. Only a biopsy can diagnose it (even though pathologists sometimes differ regarding what they see and interpret under the microscope).
Mammography is based on early detection, even though it is well known that once a lump has been detected by a mammogram, the disease has been in the body for 6-8 years. WBT helps to screen for a range of dysfunctions and can pick up patterns in the nervous system and blood flow years before disease symptoms manifest.
Despite recent medical studies questioning its effectiveness, mammography remains the gold standard with orthodox physicians. While doctors who have studied functional medicine (and a growing number of women) prefer WBT as a first line screening for breast health, it is categorized as an adjunct to mammography.
The Amaryllis Centre for Healing does not diagnose any disease condition. Patients should consult with their family physician regarding the priorities and recommendations presented in your WBT report. The Amaryllis Centre can also recommend you to a network of integrative doctors and specialized practitioners who have established track records of healing patients with limited use of drugs or surgery. We teach our clients how to apply common sense and natural principles to their lives with simple lifestyle practices, both ancient and contemporary. The commentary is not meant to diagnose, treat or replace conventional treatment.
