Zaphir Chimes

The “Zaphir” chime is an authentic musical instrument, an original creation of high quality. Imported and hand made in the Pyrenees Mountains of France, each chime is the result of meticulous craftsmanship.

Eight chords are welded with silver into the metal plate at the base of the resonance tube. Precise tuning creates a play of clear tones that is rich in overtones. The overtones of the shorter chords gradually dominate and become fundamentals, thus forming a circular tone range. Inside, to play, simply move the chime gently holding it by its cord: the relaxing sound may leave you in quiet wonder. Outside, sheltered from rain, it plays with the wind and it will carry you away on an unexpected melody.

The chime's vibrational sounds bring peace and harmony to the hearts of its listeners. For us, these chimes are just as powerful as the Crystal Singing Bowls, but in a different way. Easy healing tools, much appreciated by therapists, it’s a tool for all. Zaphir Chimes are used for relaxation, in sound-therapy-massage, meditation, and other healing work.

Outside use: The chimes can be used outside. It is best is to hang them in a dry place, like in an open window or under an overhanging roof. However, like many objects left outside, weather conditions will dull the vibrant nature of these chimes. Regular maintenance with varnish or oil will protect, but cannot stop colors from fading, nor stop the negative effects of weather conditions. If the chime gets wet, just let it dry. It will play its magic melody over and over again.
