Grotta Sonora
Grotta Sonora is a project for the design and construction of hand-crafted experimental musical instruments.
Madhava Carrara and Margherita Cioffi, artisans and musicians, started this project building on their personal experimentation with sound, using different types of metals.Madhava Carrara is a musician, percussionist and artisan who was brought up in an environment strongly influenced by the Indian culture. He has being experimenting for years with the craft of making stringed, wind and percussion musical instruments, using a wide range of materials, including recycled waste materials.
